Thulema x Magis: How Are Tomorrow’s Design Icons Born?

5. October 2026

As part of the Tallinn Design Festival, Thulema hosted an inspiring afternoon with representatives of the Italian design brand Magis.

Guests had the opportunity to meet Ivano Bosio, Magis Business Development Manager, and Viktorija Bogatko, Brand Manager, who offered insights into the brand’s product development process and shared stories about the creation of Magis products, collaborations with internationally renowned designers, and the decisions that shape a product’s form, materials, and function.

The discussion explored a fascinating question: How are tomorrow’s design icons born? Together, we looked at how an idea evolves into a product, and what role the designer’s vision, manufacturing expertise, and willingness to experiment play along the way.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us for the afternoon. While this year’s Tallinn Design Festival has come to an end, inspiring conversations about design continue at Thulema.

Until our next gathering!

Thulema ‘After work talks’: APERITIVO DI DESIGN

3. June 2026
Thulema’s After Work Talks took place on May 21 at the Thulema showroom, with a focus on Italian design.

We presented new products from Italian design brands True Design and Gollinucci Daniele – both familiar names in our selection, now introduced with fresh ideas and renewed accents.

The evening unfolded in a relaxed aperitivo atmosphere, where Italian design, flavours, and drinks complemented each other in a natural rhythm. After all, Italian design is never just about form – it is a detail that truly comes alive only when there is time to notice it.

Until next time, dear friends of Thulema.

THULEMA ’AFTER WORK TALKS’: VORMIDE I.L.U.

27. November 2025

Oli siiras rõõm kohtuda meie heade sõprade-sisearhitektidega 26. novembril I.L.U. Ülemiste keskuse ilupoes.

Thulema üritustesarja After Work Talks seekordne fookus oli suunatud meie tehases valminud I.L.U. poeketi kaunile mööblile. I.L.U. poodide kontseptsioonis on osavalt ühendatud naiselikud vormid, mängulisus ja nooruslik energia. Sisearhitektuuri on loonud Ace of Space sisearhitektuuribüroo eesotsas Ines Haakiga.

Üritusel jagasid oma mõtteid

  • Hannaliis Viibus, Kitman Thulema projektijuht, kes rääkis I.L.U. ilupoe mööbli vormidest, värvidest ja materjalidest
  • Anne-Liis Ostov, I.L.U. poeketi juht, kes avas iluvaldkonna klientide muutunud ootusi ja rääkis, miks oli aeg poe sisearhitektuuri uuendada
  • I.L.U. konsultandid, kes jagasid kohapeal personaalseid ilusoovitusi

Järgmiste kohtumisteni, head Thulema-sõbrad!

Thulema Recognized as Estonia’s Only AGR-Certified Furniture Specialist

12. September 2025

The average person spends more than 10 hours a day sitting – often with poor posture. It’s no surprise that 80% of us experience back pain at some point in our lives. Research shows that creating ergonomic workplaces – and especially enabling dynamic sitting – can significantly reduce lower back pain.

To make it easier to recognize such solutions, the independent German organization AGR (Aktion Gesunder Rücken e. V.) awards its seal of approval to products that have been thoroughly tested and proven back-friendly by doctors and specialists. In Estonia, Thulema is the only furniture company to hold AGR certification.

During Design Night Festival (29.09–03.10.2025), we will be showcasing our collection of AGR-certified task chairs and offering personal consultations to anyone interested in health and design. Drop by and sit for your health – Pärnu mnt 158, Mon–Fri 9–17. This event is part of the official Design Night Festival satellite program.
