Dedicated chairs providing safety from electric discharge

The development of a proper ESD chairs is a challenging technical procedure, deriving from our partner Throna’s long experience and research on the specific segment of a specialty chair.

Developed and assembled with specifically selected materials and components, these chairs guarantee a safe dissipative effect of the electric charges and are provided with all necessary standards to be authorized inside any “EPA” area. The internal seat structure is formed by a multi-layered beech wood structure in order to guarantee a solid and balanced support even when the end user is sitting on the front part of the seat only, a typical position of workers on the assembling line. Both seat and backrest are padded with high flame retardant Pu-flex material ergonomically shaped.

The base is in polished aluminium and the ESD castors, when present, are provided with a soft rubber ring for proper rolling on the floor. Throna offers a wide range of ESD products, among which it is possible to use the best suitable one for a specific need.

• ESD Standard
  Working chairs and stools with an essential line and a high structural strength, an ideal solution for laboratories with a high work intensity. This line is proposed with ESD upholstery either in black or anthracite colours. Available with castors or glides, with or without a footrest and with three different seat heights.

• ESD PU-Soft
  The ESD PU-Soft collection offers two liens: Tulip with the traditional ESD Pu-Soft compound and Wing with the new ESD Pu-Soft TOUCH extra soft and comfortable PU compound.
• ESD Intensive Use
  Working ESD armchairs and stools, developed specifically for intensive use working environments. All our models are fitted with specific high resistance components and mechanisms for intensive and continuous use and suitable to support heavier weights.
• ESD Sit-stand & Stool
  A “standing-aid” product, when a frequent movement from a resting to a working position is needed. The collection is completed by a full line of stools with different shapes and materials, suitable to several specific needs.
